New Delhi, Sep 7 (NationPress) Four states governed by the BJP, namely Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, and Assam, have stepped forward to provide financial aid and dispatched flood relief supplies to areas affected by rain and flooding, as shared by a party official on Sunday.
The Madhya Pradesh administration promptly offered assistance to Chhattisgarh, while Haryana extended relief to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. In Delhi, authorities organized trucks loaded with aid for Punjab, and Assam contributed ₹5 crore to Himachal Pradesh.
Expressing solidarity with the people of Himachal Pradesh, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated on X, “The catastrophic floods in Himachal Pradesh have resulted in significant loss of life and property. My deepest condolences go to the families affected, and I pray for the swift recovery of those impacted.”
He added, “On behalf of the people of Assam, we are providing ₹5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Himachal Pradesh to aid in relief and rehabilitation efforts.”
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also mobilized aid for Chhattisgarh, stating on X, “Due to heavy rainfall, flooding has impacted numerous regions in Chhattisgarh, causing loss of life and property. As a neighboring state, we have a duty to provide all possible support.”
“In this context, the Government of Madhya Pradesh is allocating ₹5 crore in funds along with essential relief supplies. During this crisis, Madhya Pradesh stands resolutely with Chhattisgarh and is ready to offer additional assistance if needed,” the Chief Minister remarked.
In Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined party members to send off trucks loaded with relief supplies for families affected by flooding in Punjab. Just a day earlier, she had declared a financial aid package of ₹5 crore for Punjab.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini also pledged support to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh by dispatching relief material via trucks from Panchkula to both flood-stricken states.
He later posted on X, “In this challenging situation of natural calamity, the BJP organization is fulfilling its duty to serve by sending relief supplies from Panchkula to Punjab with 15 trucks, and to Himachal Pradesh with 10 trucks.”
He expressed, “The suffering endured by the people of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh resonates deeply with us.”
