Jaipur, March 25 (NationPress) A state of alarm swept through the Sri Ganganagar Court campus after a bomb threat was reported. Officials disclosed that an anonymous letter, dispatched from a fabricated address in Kolkata, warned of an impending explosion at the court premises.

On Wednesday morning, a bomb disposal unit from Bikaner was deployed to the court, leading to heightened security measures throughout the entire complex.

A police contingent, including the Superintendent of Police (SP), arrived promptly at the scene. The canine unit and the bomb disposal team conducted an extensive search of all areas within the court premises.

The entire complex, including the chambers in Blocks C and D and the offices of judicial officers, underwent a detailed inspection. Court activities resumed only after the bomb disposal squad declared the area safe. They also conducted thorough checks inside the courtrooms.

In the meantime, security agencies have initiated an investigation to track down the individual responsible for the letter. The Cyber Cell and the Postal Department are collaborating in the efforts to trace the threatening correspondence sent from a Kolkata address.

As a consequence of this incident, security agencies have heightened their alert levels. Entry and exit points and security checkpoints within the court complex are under stringent scrutiny. Officials are maintaining continuous surveillance, and any suspicious activities will be met with immediate action.

Officials noted that just days prior, on March 10 at around 11:30 a.m., the Passport Office in Sri Ganganagar (located in the Post Office complex) also received an email threat indicating it would be bombed. A bomb disposal team was called to thoroughly scour the entire facility, but no suspicious items were found. Consequently, operations at the office resumed normally the following day.
