New Delhi, Sep 12 (NationPress) The 763 Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has embarked on a significant social initiative by creating a ‘Play and Learning Room’ for the children of casual paid labourers involved in road construction projects in the challenging and high-altitude region of Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh.

In this tough terrain, the labourers working at construction and development sites encounter numerous challenges, particularly the women labourers who often need to carry their young infants with them.

“Women labourers are crucial to road construction in this demanding region, often juggling their labor-intensive jobs while caring for their little ones, whom they frequently bring to work sites,” mentioned a defence spokesperson.

“Recognizing this dual burden and the necessity to protect and nurture the youngest members of our society, the 763 BRTF has developed a safe, child-friendly facility within its premises,” he continued.

Significantly, the ‘Play and Learning Room’ is outfitted with educational materials and play items for early learning, a secure indoor space for supervised play, a designated area for mothers to feed their infants with dignity, and access to clean drinking water for health and sanitation.

This initiative underscores the BRO’s steadfast commitment not only to constructing roads but also to enhancing lives.

By offering a secure and nurturing environment for children, the 763 BRTF is empowering female workers, supporting their families, and fostering a setting where children can grow, learn, and thrive joyfully and safely.
