Jaisalmer/India-Pakistan Border, April 26 (NationPress) Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's passionate commitment to "identify, track and punish" all terrorists and their supporters responsible for the atrocious Pahalgam massacre, the ambiance along the India-Pakistan border has become highly charged.

The Border Security Force (BSF) is now on high alert, indicating that India is not just furious -- it's prepared to take action.

From the arid terrains of Rajasthan's Jaisalmer to the tumultuous border posts, BSF units have shifted from their usual operations.

There’s a palpable tension in the air — the kind that signifies an impending storm.

“We are completely ready to carry out the Prime Minister's orders against the militants to the fullest extent,” asserts BSF Company Commandant Akhilesh, his tone firm with determination.

The dynamics on the ground have shifted significantly.

A BSF soldier, eyes surveying the distance, echoes the feelings of many in uniform.

“The atmosphere has changed... it’s now tense. The events in Pahalgam were deeply distressing. We are maintaining heightened vigilance on Pakistan,” he states somberly, his finger resting lightly on the trigger.

BSF Assistant Company Commandant Parimal Das points out a subtle yet significant change across the border.

“We've observed a decline in movement near the border, but their troop presence has increased. They are aware that the Prime Minister has spoken — and this time, action is imminent... ”

As the political message from Delhi reverberates strongly, it is on these frontlines that the response will materialize.

The BSF is not merely observing — it’s poised for the command.

In what appears to be a coordinated tightening of security, the entire defense framework — particularly along the western front — has entered an alert phase.

Reports indicate that additional deployments, enhanced surveillance, and discreet communication exercises are already in progress. The message from the border is unmistakable — the countdown has commenced.

Earlier on Saturday, BSF Company Commandant Akhilesh emphasized: “The BSF is fully geared and has heightened its vigilance along the Pakistan border. Our preparations are thorough; we are equipped to respond. We've boosted our logistics and personnel on the border. The atmosphere is tense, but we await directives from higher authorities.”

He noted that BSF personnel are closely monitoring every movement from the hostile nation, Pakistan, and its affiliated terror factions.

The International Border between India and Pakistan in Rajasthan spans over 1,000 km.

“During the 1971 war, Pakistan faced defeat at the Rajasthan border,” he recalled.

“In light of the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan is apprehensive and realizes that India is poised to retaliate with full force, which is why there is heightened activity on their side of the border. Consequently, Pakistan has bolstered its military presence.”

“BSF, intelligence, and other central agencies, along with BSF personnel, are vigilantly observing every movement of the adversarial nation.”

BSF soldiers are maintaining surveillance over the India-Pakistan International Border, he noted.

“While on guard, BSF soldiers expressed that we are prepared to tackle any situation, including those linked to the terrorists responsible for the horrific Pahalgam incident. Since then, there is a sense of anger not only among the citizens but also within us (the security forces). We are determined to deliver a fitting response to any enemy action.”

The BSF Company Commander also mentioned: “Numerous hideouts belonging to terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammad, Hafiz Saeed, and ISIS are located along the India-Pakistan border adjacent to Rajasthan and beyond.”
