As stated by Rural Circle Officer Ramchandra Chaudhary, the accident transpired just beyond Sanjhisar as the bus was making its way from Ajmer to Pushkar.
Reports indicate that the vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and plunged into the gorge, ultimately becoming ensnared in thick trees and underbrush about 200 feet below.
All 33 individuals on board were initially transported to the government hospital in Pushkar and later referred to the JLN Hospital in Ajmer.
Tragically, two women, identified as Pooja (28), the spouse of Vijay Singh Gurjar, and Vimla Devi (50), married to Om Prakash Gurjar, succumbed to their injuries. Both women were residents of Ajmer.
Currently, 30 individuals are receiving treatment at JLN Hospital, while one injured person has been discharged.
Superintendent of JLN Hospital, Arvind Khare, confirmed that the injured patients are being treated across various wards.
Following the incident, the bus driver reportedly fled the scene and is currently being pursued.
Authorities have initiated an inquiry to ascertain the precise cause of the accident.
Police teams have conducted inspections at the accident site, and further actions will be taken based on their findings.
Ajmer Collector Lok Bandhu and Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Aggarwal, along with other administrative and law enforcement officials, visited JLN Hospital to evaluate the situation and speak with the injured passengers.
The accident also caused a significant traffic jam in the Pushkar Valley, leading to considerable disruptions for several hours.
