Jaipur, Jan 13 (NationPress) In a tragic incident, three individuals have lost their lives, and two others were injured after a bus collided with a Bolero car in Sri Ganganagar district of Rajasthan, as reported by an official on Monday.

The deceased were identified as a couple traveling in a jeep, along with their family member.

All three died instantly at the scene.

Two women, also part of the same family, sustained serious injuries in the incident. They were on their way to Punjab for a mourning ceremony.

This collision occurred due to dense fog, which significantly impaired visibility on the road, resulting in a traffic jam.

Authorities responded quickly, moving the vehicles off the road and transporting the injured to the hospital.

The bodies of the deceased were taken to the mortuary at the government hospital in Padampur. The bus had departed Sri Ganganagar at around 7 a.m., heading toward Bikaner.

At approximately 8 a.m., it struck a jeep that was making its way from a village in Rajasthan to Punjab.

The force of the impact was so severe that it created a loud noise, completely destroying the front part of the jeep.

Nearby workers in the fields rushed over to assist the injured.

Sadly, by the time help arrived, three occupants of the jeep had already perished.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the jeep driver tried to overtake a tractor-trolley but ended up colliding head-on with the bus.

Most bus passengers emerged unscathed, apart from a young girl who suffered minor injuries.

However, the health of the two injured women from the jeep remains critical, and they have been referred to a higher medical facility for further treatment.

The victims were recognized as Badal Singh (45), his wife Swarnjit Kaur (44), and Badal Singh's brother Gurcharan Singh (50), all from a village in Rajasthan.

The injured women, Paramjit Kaur and Karamjit Kaur, were also family members.

This devastating accident occurred while the family was en route to Punjab for mourning.

Investigations are underway under the supervision of Padampur SHO Surendra Rana and his team.

This tragic incident highlights the severe risks associated with low visibility and the importance of exercising caution while driving in foggy conditions.
