Mumbai, Dec 20 (NationPress) As the action thriller “Dhoom 3”, featuring Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif, marks its 12th anniversary since release on Saturday, actor Jackie Shroff took a moment to celebrate this significant milestone.

Jackie, who played the father to Aamir Khan’s dual roles in the film, shared a nostalgic post on his Instagram Stories. He included a poster of Dhoom 3 and expressed, “Celebrating 12 years of Dhoom 3.”

The movie was directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and serves as the third chapter in the Dhoom series. Aamir Khan takes on the role of the anti-hero, while Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra reprise their roles as the main protagonists, alongside supporting performances from Jackie Shroff and Katrina Kaif.

The plot revolves around Sahir, a circus artist who robs a corrupt bank in Chicago to seek vengeance for his father's death. His complexities deepen when Inspector Jai and Ali become suspicious of his actions.

The Dhoom franchise commenced in 2004, showcasing a mysterious gang of bikers engaged in a spree of heists. A.C.P Jai Dixit enlists the help of mechanic Ali to catch the culprits before time runs out. The original film also featured John Abraham in a pivotal role, alongside Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.

The second film debuted in 2006, with A.C.P Jai Dixit and Ali assigned to pursue an international thief known as “Mr. A”, who targets priceless artifacts, setting his sights on Mumbai. This installment introduced Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the antagonists.

In other news, Jackie recently appeared in the comedy thriller “Housefull 5”, which boasts a star-studded ensemble, including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Sanjay Dutt. This film revolves around multiple imposters competing for the wealth of a deceased billionaire aboard a luxurious cruise.

Jackie will next be seen in Ahmed Khan’s upcoming comedy titled “Welcome To The Jungle”, featuring a massive cast that includes Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, and Raveena Tandon.
