Jackie Shroff Marks 24 Years Since the Release of 'Farz'

Mumbai, Jan 12 (NationPress) As his film 'Farz' celebrated 24 years in the realm of Hindi cinema since its debut on Sunday, actor Jackie Shroff marked the occasion by sharing a collection of unforgettable scenes from the film.
In his role as the villain Gawa Firozi in the 2001 action thriller, Jackie took to his Instagram stories Sunday morning to share clips from the movie, which features stars like Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
Among the scenes, Jackie delivered memorable lines such as “Tere bhi passport ki taiyaari ho gayi hai” and “Meri maut ko teri ko dekhne ka intezaar hai. Aur main apne maut ko na umeed nahi kar sakta.”
He captioned his post with #24yearsoffarz and tagged both Sunny and Preity.
'Farz', directed by Raj Kanwar, also features the late Om Puri. The narrative follows a dedicated police officer whose anger escalates following the death of his partner in the line of duty, compounded by the fact that his daughter falls for his new, adventurous partner.
On January 9, he posted a video from his visit to a cow sanctuary, showcasing moments spent with the animals, captioned “𝑃𝐸𝐴𝐶𝐸”.
Regarding his upcoming projects, Jackie is set to appear in the crime series 'Chidiya Udd', which will make its debut on the OTT platform Amazon MX Player on January 15. This drama is adapted from Aabid Surti’s acclaimed novel Cages.
'Chidiya Udd' centers on a young woman from Rajasthan named Seher, who gets entangled in the dark underbelly of Mumbai's criminal world. The plot unfolds as she strives to liberate herself from the grips of power and violence. The official trailer for the anticipated web series was recently released.
Directed by Ravi Jadhav, this project is co-produced by Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri. Alongside Jackie Shroff, 'Chidiya Udd' will also star Bhoomika Meena, Sikandar Kher, Madhur Mittal, Mayur More, and Mita Vashisht in significant roles. Jackie will portray the character of Qadir Khan.
Additionally, he will be featured in 'Housefull 5' alongside Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, among others. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, this film is set for release in theaters on June 6.
