Mumbai, Jan 8 (NationPress) Acclaimed actor Jackie Shroff recently shared a touching homage to the beloved actress Nanda on what would have been her birthday. He utilized his official Instagram account to express his sentiments.
The star of 'Hero' featured some of Nanda's timeless melodies from classic films like 'Jab Jab Phool Khile' and 'The Train' in the stories section of the popular social media platform. Accompanying his post was a poignant message: 'Remembering Nanda ji on her birth anniversary', along with a blue heart emoji.
Nanda, who was born on January 8, 1939, significantly impacted the Hindi film industry for over three decades.
Meanwhile, Jackie Shroff is set to appear in the much-anticipated crime series 'Chidiya Udd'. This drama is scheduled to debut on the OTT service Amazon MX Player on January 15 this year. In advance of the premiere, the producers have decided to release the official trailer for the web series. The show is a cinematic representation of Aabid Surti’s celebrated novel 'Cages'.
'Chidiya Udd' narrates the story of a young Rajasthani woman named Seher, who finds herself caught in the perilous realm of Mumbai's crime syndicate. As the plot unfolds, she struggles to escape from the clutches of power and violence.
Directed by Ravi Jadhav, this project is a joint production by Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri. The ensemble cast of 'Chidiya Udd' includes Jackie Shroff, Bhoomika Meena, Sikandar Kher, Madhur Mittal, Mayur More, and Mita Vashisht in significant roles.
In the series, Jackie Shroff will portray the character of Qadir Khan. Discussing the project, he stated, 'The world of Chidiya Udd is full of twists and turns. It’s a place where survival is the ultimate game, and every character is fighting their own battle. Portraying Qadir has been a challenging yet rewarding experience and the audience will love it.'
Additionally, Jackie Shroff is also set to feature in 'Housefull 5', alongside renowned actors Akshay Kumar, Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh.
