Key Takeaways
Hyderabad, Feb 5 (NationPress) The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, announced on Thursday that the Central government has allocated Rs 259.36 crore to Gram Panchayats in Telangana as part of the first instalment under the 15th Finance Commission.
He made this announcement via a post on ‘X’, indicating that these funds were released due to continuous efforts from him and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy.
“This is how the Centre operates under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The funds are not merely announced; they are delivered without delay or political interference,” he stated.
He assured that the funds would continue to be released in phases. The next disbursement is expected after the municipal elections, followed by further allocations post ZPTC and MPTC elections.
The BJP leader urged constituents to support the BJP for substantial development.
During his campaign in Huzurabad, he pledged that if the BJP secures victory in the municipal elections, he would bring in Rs 500 crore from the Centre as the initial instalment for municipalities.
Bandi Sanjay claimed that substantial funds have already been brought in from the Centre for the development of Telangana. He criticized the state government for not staffing the necessary infrastructure provided in government hospitals.
Pointing to a decade of neglect in Huzurabad, he promised that voting for the BJP would bring in Centre-sourced funds for the area's development.
In response to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s assertion of more housing for the poor under the Indiramma Illu scheme in the upcoming budget, Sanjay expressed skepticism, suggesting that this promise would join the ranks of others made by the Congress that went unfulfilled.
He emphasized that genuine housing developments in Telangana have primarily occurred under the PM Awas Yojana.
The BJP leader recalled the Chief Minister's previous extravagant promises, stating, “He couldn’t even manage to move KCR out of his farmhouse, let alone build a 2BHK in Cherlapally Jail for him and his family.”
