New Delhi, Oct 8 (NationPress) After the Bihar election schedule was announced, BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh spoke out about the confusion regarding seat sharing in the Mahagathbandhan, asserting that the alliance is devoid of clear policies, effective leadership, and genuine intention.
In an interview with IANS, Chugh remarked, “Rahul Gandhi has consistently relied on others for support. In Bihar, he is depending on Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav to secure seats. The Congress’s so-called leaders have never taken any election or issue seriously, and the people of Bihar are unlikely to accept such irresponsible figures. The Mahagathbandhan is lacking in policies, leadership, and authentic intent. Meanwhile, the NDA government is forging a new path of development and trust in Bihar.”
“In contrast, Rahul Gandhi is engaged in defaming India internationally and undermining the nation’s unbiased constitutional institutions domestically. Voters in Bihar will have a clear choice between ‘nepotism’ and ‘development,’ and they will strongly endorse the NDA,” he stated to IANS.
Chugh also addressed the meeting between West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP MP Khagen Murmu, who suffered severe injuries during a mob attack in Nagrakata, North Bengal, while visiting flood-affected regions alongside BJP MLA Sankar Ghosh.
“Mamata Banerjee’s interpretation of ‘democracy’ has become synonymous with violence against opponents, terror, and appeasement. The assault on the tribal MP and BJP leaders is an affront to the people of Bengal, and the public will respond decisively in the upcoming elections. The silence from intellectuals and self-proclaimed secularists who once hailed Mamata as an emblem of good governance underscores the turmoil in Bengal. BJP workers and citizens are dedicated to establishing true democracy in Bengal by liberating it from dictatorship, infiltration, and vote-bank politics,” he conveyed to IANS.
Chugh also expressed his condolences on the death of Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda, aged 35, who passed away after a 12-day battle with illness at Fortis Hospital in Mohali.
“Punjabi music has lost one of its most influential voices. The death of Rajvir Jawanda represents an irreparable loss to Punjabi art and culture. His singing resonated with not just Punjab but the entire world. His premature departure has profoundly impacted every Punjabi. We pray for peace for Rajvir Jawanda’s soul and strength for his family and fans to cope with this loss. The BJP is committed to supporting Punjab’s artists and cultural legacy. Rajvir Jawanda’s artistry and dedication will always be cherished,” he said.
