New Delhi, May 18 (NationPress) A group of prominent clerics from various dargahs across India, accompanied by BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla, met with the Defence Minister, Minority Affairs Minister, and the Law Minister at their residences on Sunday. They conveyed their appreciation on behalf of the entire Muslim community to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government and the Indian Armed Forces for their efforts during Operation Sindoor.
The delegation included notable clerics such as Hazrat Syed Naseruddin Chishty, the successor to the Spiritual Head of Ajmer Dargah and Chairman of the All India Sufi Sajjada Nashin Council. Babli Parveen, Secretary of the All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council (Women Wing), was also part of this distinguished group.
In a statement, the delegation, which represented prominent dargahs nationwide, unanimously asserted: “Through this extraordinary military operation, a new precedent of Operation Sindoor has been set. 'Ab Ghar me Ghuskar maarenge' (will enter the house and attack) is now the standard. Nuclear intimidation can no longer be wielded to execute terror attacks. We will pursue and eliminate terrorists who threaten innocent Indians, even if this means targeting camps and bases deep within Pakistan.
“By dismantling 9 terror camps and striking 11 bases of the Pakistan army, our courageous forces have instilled a sense of pride among every Indian. Pakistan must cease its support for terrorism, or else there will be no distinction between terrorists and their backers. The respect for Sindoor embodies a core value of India’s culture. The Pahalgam attack is a stain on humanity, and Pakistan is complicit. All Islamic nations should isolate Pakistan for permitting such atrocities and tarnishing the name of Islam. Anyone who endorses this is an adversary of both Islam and humanity.”
Speaking to the media, Shehzad Poonawalla remarked: “Led by Chishty Saheb, this delegation from diverse dargahs across the nation visited the residences of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. Our military, under the guidance of a government with robust political and educational capabilities, has delivered a strong response to Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.”
Hazrat Syed Naseruddin Chishty stated: “We have invited delegations from all over the country. I wish to extend my gratitude to the government and our armed forces. I had an extensive discussion with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This is a new India; it reacts not with words but with decisive actions.”
