Mumbai, April 16 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, made a heartfelt visit to the BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Mumbai on Wednesday, where he sincerely offered prayers and engaged in 'darshan' of Bhagwan Swaminarayan.
During his time at the mandir, CM Fadnavis took part in the revered abhishek ceremony, showcasing his profound respect and spiritual commitment. He was graciously welcomed by Sadhu Tirthswarup Das of BAPS, who enlightened him about the organization's wide-ranging spiritual, cultural, and humanitarian efforts both in India and globally.
The visit was also attended by Amit Satam, the President of Mumbai BJP, according to a media statement.
In a post shared on X, CM Fadnavis expressed, “I had the privilege to visit the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Dadar to seek blessings and offer prayers for the well-being of all. It was an honor to perform the Abhishek ritual during my visit.”
“I feel blessed to have offered my prayers and performed the Abhishek at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Dadar. I prayed for peace and prosperity for everyone. I was accompanied by BJP Mumbai President and MLA Ameet Satam,” he added.
The Chief Minister praised the value-driven initiatives of BAPS that continue to inspire society through their acts of service, cultural education, and community unity. He also spent some time on the mandir grounds, absorbing the tranquil and spiritually charged environment. In a gesture of humility and devotion, prayers were offered at the feet of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Guruhari Mahant Swami Maharaj for the ongoing health, strength, and dedicated service of Devendra Fadnavis towards the advancement and welfare of Maharashtra's populace, as stated in the release.
The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in Mumbai regularly hosts Ravi Sabhas (Sunday assemblies), where thousands of Mumbaikars receive blessings and teachings.
This three-spired mandir, crafted from pink stone and adorned with intricate carvings, houses Murtis of Bhagwan Swaminarayan, Gunatitanand Swami, Gopalanand Swami, Harikrishna Maharaj, and Radha-Krishna. It stands as a significant hub for cultural and spiritual gatherings and features a distinctive rotating pillar at the location where Yogiji Maharaj's body was laid to rest in 1971.
