New Delhi, March 28 (NationPress) The Congress party has unveiled a new wave of appointments to its social media framework across various states, designating chairpersons, co-chairpersons, and coordinators. In a notification released by AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, it was confirmed that the Congress president has sanctioned these appointments effective immediately.
Shalini Singh has been appointed as the chairperson of the Social Media Department for Uttar Pradesh.
In Punjab, Gurjot Singh Dhindsa has been named as the chairperson, while Biswajit Mohanty takes on the same role in Odisha.
Haryana sees Kiran Sonika Dhooma as chairperson, accompanied by Puneet Yadav as co-chairperson. The state has also seen the addition of four coordinators: Vikrant, Vishal, Rahul Vashisht, and Khushdeep Kumar.
In Maharashtra, Hrishikesh S. Patil is set to lead the social media unit as chairperson.
The coordinators for Maharashtra will include Adv. Abdulqadir Shabbir Ahmed Maiti, Shrikant Kamlakar Murale, Amit Chandrakant Kamble, Dnyaneshwar Shankar Chavan, Divika S. Uthad, Pankaj Shobha Dalvi, Shlokanand Sadanand Dange, Arun Lonare, and Vijayanand Anand Pol.
This initiative is part of the party's continuous efforts to strengthen its social media presence at the state level.
In recent months, the Congress has executed similar changes, focusing on enhancing coordination and refining its digital engagement.
Additionally, on the same day, the Congress sanctioned the formation of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) for its Himachal Pradesh unit, incorporating senior leaders, ministers, and organizational figures to improve decision-making in the state.
The PAC is recognized as the foremost decision-making entity within the party at the state level concerning political and organizational issues. Its responsibilities include advising on strategies, facilitating coordination between the government and the party, and addressing pivotal political matters.
An official statement from K.C. Venugopal indicated that the Congress president has promptly approved the committee proposal.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is a member of the 26-member panel, which features state Congress chief Pratibha Singh, prominent leader Mukesh Agnihotri, and legislators such as Anirudh Singh, Vikramaditya Singh, and Rohit Thakur.
Notable figures including veteran leaders Anand Sharma and Asha Kumari are also included, along with Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Kaul Singh Thakur, and Chander Kumar Chaudhary. Former minister R.S. Bali and Nand Lal contribute to the committee as well.
