Visakhapatnam, Oct 27 (NationPress) The East Coast Railway has suspended operations for 43 trains due to the impending cyclone 'Montha', which is anticipated to make landfall along the Andhra Pradesh coast on Tuesday.
The railway authority disclosed the halt of numerous trains originating from or passing through the coastal regions of Andhra.
These trains were expected to leave on October 27, 28, or 29, with cancellations made to ensure the safety of all passengers.
The Visakhapatnam–Kirandul Express (Train number 18515), set to depart on Monday, has been called off. Similarly, the Kirandul Express-Visakhapatnam (18516), scheduled for Tuesday, is also cancelled.
Further cancellations include the Visakhapatnam–Kirandul passenger (58501) and Kirandul-Visakhapatnam passenger (58502).
The East Coast Railway has also ceased operations for the Visakhapatnam-Koraput Passenger (58538) and Visakhapatnam-Koraput Express (18512), along with their respective pairing trains.
Other suspended services include the Rajahmundry-Visakhapatnam MEMU (67285) and its pairing train, Visakhapatnam-Kakinada Port Express (17268) along with its pairing train, as well as the Visakhapatnam-Tirupati (08583) and its pairing train.
The Visakhapatnam-Guntur Double Decker (22875), Visakhapatnam-Tirupati Double Decker (22707), Visakhapatnam-Brahmapur (18526) and their pairing trains have also been cancelled.
