New Delhi, Nov 11 (NationPress) In the wake of a devastating explosion close to the Red Fort Metro Station, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a new traffic advisory on Tuesday morning, urging individuals to consider alternate routes to avoid inconvenience.
The capital is currently under heightened alert following a car blast that occurred on Monday evening. Consequently, security protocols have been significantly strengthened throughout the city. Traffic diversions are now in place, which means commuters should prepare for delays, especially in the vicinity of the Red Fort.
According to police reports, traffic limitations and reroutes are being enforced on both lanes and the service road of Netaji Subhash Marg. These restrictions will be active on the stretch between Chhatta Rail Cut and Subhash Marg Cut.
The advisory stated, "On 11.11.25, due to circumstances, traffic restrictions & diversions will be operational on both carriageways and service roads of Netaji Subhash Marg from Chatta Rail Cut to Subhash Marg Cut. Travelers are encouraged to avoid these routes from 06:00 AM until further notice and to utilize alternate roads for a smoother journey."

The explosion transpired when a Haryana-registered vehicle parked near Gate No.1 of the Red Fort Metro Station detonated, resulting in at least eight fatalities and numerous injuries. Several nearby vehicles were engulfed in flames, streetlights were damaged, and the injured have been taken to LNJP Hospital for treatment, where their conditions are currently under observation.
Emergency teams, including police, NIA, NSG, and forensic units, arrived at the scene within minutes, cordoning off the area. CCTV footage is being reviewed to piece together the sequence of events and identify those responsible.
