New Delhi, March 29 (NationPress) - On Monday, Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta is set to engage with the youth participants of the State Level Viksit Bharat Yuva Sansad (VBYP) 2026, an event organized in partnership with the 'My Bharat' portal under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, as stated by an official on Sunday.

This interaction is a crucial part of the State Level segment of VBYP 2026, which seeks to encourage the involvement of young citizens in democratic institutions and legislative processes, according to an official announcement.

The meeting will take place in a conference room adjacent to the Chief Minister's Office at the Delhi Assembly, located in the Old Secretariat.

The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament provides a platform for young individuals to participate in national dialogues and influence the vision for 'Viksit Bharat@2047'.

It aims to cultivate leadership, civic engagement, and policy discussions, allowing students to engage in critical national issues.

“This edition, inspired by the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is entirely offline and executed through the MY Bharat initiative to enhance youth involvement,” an official statement elaborated.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports notes that the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament signifies a shift from the traditional youth parliament model, aiming to nurture a new generation of proactive, solution-oriented, and policy-savvy youth leaders.

This initiative unfolds at three different levels.

“The district rounds occur at local nodes, while the state-level events take place at 17 State Assemblies and the remaining 18 in various government institutions,” the statement indicated.

“These sessions represent a historic effort to connect youth with governance, as they are overseen by State Speakers, emphasizing the importance of youth discussions,” the statement further noted.

The themes selected for VBYP are designed to broaden youth participation in public life, aligning with the national objective of enhancing the involvement of young people from diverse, non-political backgrounds in the democratic process, thereby contributing to the overarching vision of 'Viksit Bharat @ 2047'.

The young delegates of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament hail from all states and Union Territories, representing a wide array of linguistic, social, and geographical backgrounds, thus showcasing the rich diversity of youth perspectives nationwide.

“The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament offers participants a formal platform to discuss national issues, engage with policymakers, and make meaningful contributions to India's development journey,” the statement concluded.
