Jaipur, March 25 (NationPress) The Meteorological Centre in Jaipur has raised an alert regarding a new wave of dust storms and rainfall expected to impact eight districts in Rajasthan starting from March 28.

The Met Centre predicts that from March 25 to 27, some areas will experience partly cloudy conditions, while the majority of the state will enjoy clear skies. The recent spell of dust storms and rainfall concluded on Tuesday.

Despite this, a weak Western Disturbance has caused overcast skies in several western districts, with light dusty winds reported in regions such as Jaisalmer and Barmer. Temperatures in these areas have seen a gradual increase.

In Jaipur, clear skies and bright sunshine dominated the day, pushing the maximum temperature up by 4 degrees Celsius to reach 33 degrees Celsius.

While mornings and evenings remain relatively cool, a gentle breeze during the day has made conditions quite pleasant. Many cities across the state have reported daytime temperatures remaining below the normal range.

Districts such as Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jalore, Sirohi, Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, and Jodhpur have experienced cloudy weather due to the lingering effects of the weak Western Disturbance.

Additionally, consecutive Western Disturbances have brought a chill to the weather, with minimum temperatures in the state dropping below 20 degrees Celsius, except in a few locations.

Chittorgarh recorded the highest temperature in the last 24 hours at 36 degrees Celsius, while Barmer in western Rajasthan registered the hottest temperature at 36.8 degrees Celsius.

In East Rajasthan, the minimum temperature was recorded in Fatehpur at 14.1 degrees Celsius, while Churu in western Rajasthan noted a minimum of 17.8 degrees Celsius.

According to Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, a weak Western Disturbance is currently affecting western Rajasthan, leading to light cloud cover in border areas, while the rest of the state is expected to remain clear.

He further indicated that another Western Disturbance is anticipated to become active from March 28, potentially altering weather conditions across several districts.

As a result, overcast skies, accompanied by dust storms and light rainfall, are likely to occur in various parts of the state.
