Jaipur, Jan 29 (NationPress) With the arrival of spring just around the corner, the Meteorological (MeT) Department announced on Wednesday that rainfall is anticipated in various regions of Rajasthan next week.

Beginning Wednesday, a gradual increase in minimum temperatures is expected, which will lessen the morning and evening chill. Additionally, the MeT office indicated a chance of rain on February 3.

A robust western disturbance is set to activate in certain areas of the state from February 2 to 4. This timeframe may witness rain accompanied by thunder in regions such as Udaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Bikaner, as per MeT officials.

At present, Rajasthan's weather is shifting. The intense sunlight during the day has initiated a mild heat sensation among residents. In western Rajasthan, daytime temperatures have exceeded 30 degrees Celsius, with cities like Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Ganganagar, and Churu reporting maximum temperatures that are 4-5 degrees higher than the average.

Nonetheless, the mornings and evenings remain chilly due to lower nighttime temperatures.

In the last 24 hours, Rajasthan enjoyed clear skies; however, by Tuesday evening, clouds began to blanket the southeastern districts, including Tonk, Udaipur, Sirohi, Bhilwara, Rajsamand, and Ajmer. Following sunset, cool winds began to sweep through these regions.

On Tuesday, intense sunlight resulted in mild heat in several cities. Jaisalmer and Jalore recorded the highest temperature at 30.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Dungarpur and Jodhpur at 29.6 degrees, Barmer at 29.4, Chittorgarh at 29.9, and Ajmer at 27 degrees.

Other recorded maximum temperatures included Bikaner (28.4 degrees Celsius), Churu (27.7), Nagaur (28.2), Fatehpur (27.2), and Udaipur (27.3).

Jaipur enjoyed bright sunshine throughout Tuesday, resulting in mild daytime warmth. The city clocked a maximum temperature of 26.1 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 9.2. While the sky remained clear during the day, clouds rolled in during the evening, bringing a light, cool breeze.
