Rainfall in Rajasthan Leads to Temperature Plunge and Visibility Challenges Due to Fog

Jaipur, Dec 27 (NationPress) The daily routine in Rajasthan is significantly disrupted as rain and fog envelop the state, resulting in a notable decrease in temperatures and impaired visibility in various locales.
The adverse weather conditions have heightened the chill, with thick fog shrouding numerous regions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has raised an orange alert for 15 districts and a yellow alert for six districts within the state, cautioning residents about ongoing thick fog over the coming three days. This weather disturbance is linked to a Western Disturbance, which has caused rainfall and cooler temperatures across the region.
Significant rainfall was observed in Pali and Jalore on Thursday night, while early Friday morning brought showers to areas such as Sikar, Ajmer, Jaipur, Udaipur, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, and Kotputli-Bahror. The highest recorded rainfall occurred in Neem Ka Thana, Sikar, with 25 mm of precipitation. The rainfall has intensified the cold wave, driving temperatures lower across many districts.
The biting cold is being keenly felt throughout the state. The lowest recorded minimum temperature was in Churu at 5.4°C, whereas the highest maximum temperature was noted in Dungarpur at 23.5°C. The dense fog has compounded the difficulties, hindering visibility and complicating travel in the impacted regions.
According to the IMD, widespread rainfall and potential hailstorms are anticipated to persist on Friday and Saturday, affecting various areas throughout Rajasthan. Light to moderate rain is expected in the Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, and Bikaner divisions in the next 24 hours. Additionally, there is a likelihood of hailstorms occurring in the Jaipur, Ajmer, and Bharatpur divisions during this timeframe.
The Meteorological Department has warned residents about the continuation of dense fog conditions into Sunday, which may further hinder travel and daily activities.
Residents in Rajasthan are urged to take necessary precautions and remain informed about weather advisories to navigate the challenges posed by the inclement weather.
