Will Rajasthan Experience a Rise in Temperature After the Morning Fog?
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
Jaipur, Feb 19 (NationPress) Following two days of rainfall and hail, the weather in Rajasthan cleared up on Thursday. However, thick fog hindered visibility in several districts during the morning, dropping it to approximately 50 meters in locations such as Kotputli-Behror, Ajmer, and Kota. The Jaipur Meteorological Centre has forecasted a rise in temperatures starting today, with no rain alerts issued for the state.
On Wednesday, hailstorms across multiple districts caused a significant decrease of about 10 degrees in daytime temperatures.
In the last 24 hours, rainfall was documented in Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Alwar, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Bundi, Kota, Baran, Jhalawar, Bhilwara, Tonk, Ajmer, and Chittorgarh.
Numerous regions reported agricultural damage due to hail. The fog also caused traffic delays on the Jaipur-Delhi National Highway until approximately 8 am. Residents in areas such as Ajmer, Kota, and Tonk experienced difficulties due to the dense fog and chilly morning temperatures.
With the recent rain and hail, the air remains cool. Radheshyam Sharma, the Director of the Meteorological Centre in Jaipur, indicated that a western disturbance will not affect Rajasthan today.
Most areas are anticipated to remain clear with sunshine throughout the day, leading to a gradual increase in temperatures.
The Bharatpur division in eastern Rajasthan might experience some scattered clouds, but overall, the weather is predicted to stay clear across the state for the next five days.
Light rain was logged in various locations. Shahpura (Jaipur), Bhainsrodgarh (Chittorgarh), Sangod (Kota), and Sikar recorded about 2 cm of rainfall, while Jidawa (Jhunjhunu), Deogarh (Rajsamand), Bassi (Jaipur), Omu (Jaipur), Bonli (Sawai Madhopur), Udaipurwati (Jhunjhunu), Shahabad (Baran), Alwar, Fagi, Manoharpur, Amer, Khetri, Atru, Thanagazi, Baswa, Japrawa, Sanganer, Dausa, Asnawar, Kotkasim, and others experienced around 1 cm or less of rainfall.
Bhadra (Hanumangarh) also noted 1 cm of rainfall. Due to the rains, minimum temperatures have dipped below 15 degrees Celsius in several districts.
Alwar and Fatehpur recorded minimum temperatures of 10.4 degrees Celsius, while Jaipur reported 12.8 degrees Celsius and Churu 11.6 degrees Celsius.
As the weather system weakens, sunshine and rising temperatures are expected throughout Rajasthan starting Thursday.
Farmers and residents are advised to stay vigilant due to persistent cold and fog in the early morning hours.
