Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 18 (NationPress) Bollywood icons Shraddha Kapoor and Randeep Hooda have officially wrapped up the shooting of the Pune schedule for their much-anticipated film “Eetha”.
The conclusion of this segment was celebrated with a cake-cutting ceremony on set, attended by the entire cast and crew. Director Laxman Utekar and various production team members were present as they marked the end of filming for this part of the project. A video capturing this joyous moment was recorded on the film's set.
The schedule was finalized earlier this week after an extensive shoot that took place across various locations in and near the city. This follows the completion of the Mumbai filming, which occurred from late January to February.
Eetha delves into the life of one of India’s earliest Tamasha/Lavni dancers, spotlighting a compelling story rooted in culture.
Randeep will also star in the epic war drama “Operation Khukri.” He has obtained the official rights to adapt “Operation Khukri: The Untold Story of the Indian Army’s Bravest Peacekeeping Mission Abroad” by Major General Rajpal Punia and Damini Punia.
This film will portray the gripping true events of 2000, when 233 Indian soldiers were captured by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and the subsequent high-stakes rescue operation that ensued.
The actor is set to portray Major General Raj Pal Punia, who was then a young Company Commander of the 14th Mechanised Infantry, as he navigated the tense standoff and the extraordinary rescue mission in challenging jungle warfare conditions.
In other news, Randeep and his wife Lin Laishram are preparing to welcome their first child. They shared the exciting news on Instagram on November 29.
In a shared post, they expressed: “Two years of love, adventure, and now… a little wild one on the way” accompanied by emojis.
Randeep and Lin first crossed paths at veteran star Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group Motley. After falling in love, they began living together during the lockdown. The couple made their relationship public on Instagram in 2022 and eventually married on November 29, 2023, in a traditional Meitei ceremony in Manipur.
