On January 30, reports surfaced about Randeep sporting a unique new style, complete with a thick moustache for his character.
As per insiders, Randeep’s fresh look is tailored for the period biopic drama Eetha, which is presently in production. The film pairs Randeep Hooda with Shraddha Kapoor and is said to have been filmed in various locations across Maharashtra.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, Eetha narrates the story of one of India’s earliest Tamasha/Lavni dancers, shedding light on a powerful and culturally significant tale.
In other news, Randeep and his wife Lin Laishram are excitedly preparing to welcome their first child. They announced this wonderful news on Instagram on November 29.
In a shared post, they wrote: “Two years of love, adventure, and now… a little wild one on the way.”
Randeep and Lin first connected in veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group, Motley.
After falling in love, they began living together during the lockdown. Their relationship became Instagram official in 2022, and the couple finally celebrated their union on November 29, 2023, in a traditional Meitei ceremony in Manipur.
Randeep is also set to star in the epic war drama “Operation Khukri.” He has acquired the rights to the film based on “Operation Khukri: The Untold Story of the Indian Army’s Bravest Peacekeeping Mission Abroad” by Major General Rajpal Punia and Damini Punia.
This film will depict the gripping real-life events of 2000 when 233 Indian soldiers were held captive by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, and the daring rescue operation that ensued.
The actor will portray Major General Raj Pal Punia (who was then a young Company Commander of the 14th Mechanised Infantry), facing both the intense standoff and the remarkable rescue mission amid challenging jungle warfare conditions.
