Mumbai, March 18 (NationPress) Actor Randeep Hooda, portraying the ominous character of Ranatunga in the much-anticipated film “Jaat,” has undergone a significant transformation for the Sunny Deol starrer by gaining muscle mass and refining his voice modulation.

To effectively embody this fearsome role, a source close to the production stated, “Randeep is recognized for his meticulous approach to every character he embodies, and Jaat is no exception. From the beginning, he has been dedicated to making Ranatunga a genuinely terrifying antagonist.

“He has grown out his hair to give the character a rugged appearance and has worked on his physique to create a more intimidating aura. His focus on detail is unparalleled, ensuring that every facet of his performance feels authentic.”

This is not the first instance of Randeep undertaking a physical overhaul; he previously challenged himself for roles in “Sarbjit” in 2016 and “Swatantra Veer Savarkar,” which is set to release in 2024.

“Whether it’s Sarbjit, Swatantra Veer Savarkar, or now Jaat, Randeep consistently pushes himself beyond limits. His admirers appreciate his ability to completely morph into the roles he portrays, and with Ranatunga, they will witness a version of Randeep that is darker, more sinister, and truly chilling on screen,” he added.

Previously, Randeep mentioned that while he has played dark and complex characters, this role embodies “pure evil.”

Discussing his portrayal of Ranatunga in “Jaat,” Randeep expressed, “I’ve portrayed dark and layered characters before, but Ranatunga is pure evil. He’s violent, unhinged, and operates with a brutality that even shocked me during the performance.”

The actor revealed that “Jaat” explores a world of raw, unapologetic crime.

“My character is at the heart of that turmoil. I believe our director, Gopichand Malineni, had a clear vision for this character, and I fully embraced his concept for the role.”

Directed by Gopichand Malineni, “Jaat” also features Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, and Regina Cassandra. The action choreography is executed by Anal Arasu, Ram Laxman, and Venkat, delivering a stunning visual experience of exhilarating combat.

The film boasts a soundtrack composed by Thaman S. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, it is set to premiere in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on April 10.
