The group of 30 outstanding higher secondary students, visiting New Delhi to experience the upcoming Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, listened intently as the Defence Minister inspired them to confront challenges with confidence and courage.
Present during this engaging session were Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Chief of Integrated Defence Staff Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit.
Rajnath Singh urged the students to play a role in shaping India’s future as a powerful nation and wished them success in their forthcoming endeavors.
He highlighted the significance of human values, deeming them essential for character development.
The Defence Minister encouraged the students to stay grounded in these values while balancing their academic journeys with character building.
This interactive session with the Defence Minister at his office in South Block formed a part of Aarohan: Dweep to Delhi, a week-long National Integration Tour organized by the Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC).
As a token of appreciation, the students presented him with a traditional handcrafted souvenir made by local tribal artisans.
The Defence Minister praised this remarkable initiative by the ANC, which received support from Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff, HQ Delhi Area, and the Civil Administration of the Islands.
Aarohan: Dweep to Delhi aims to expose youth from remote island communities to India's rich cultural heritage, modern infrastructure, and educational opportunities.
The students' itinerary includes visits to historical sites like the Red Fort, India Gate, National War Memorial, and Taj Mahal, alongside premier institutions such as Delhi Technological University and National Science Centre.
This program underscores the Government's dedication to promoting national integration and nurturing future leaders from the Islands.
