During the audio launch event for the film, Amalraj stated, "If there's someone I owe thanks to for my film 'Blackmail', it’s my lead actor G V Prakash Kumar. Even when we were nearing the finish line, we had another eight days of shooting pending. G V Prakash stepped in, assisting us in wrapping it up."
He continued, "In this era, it’s common to hear of heroes demanding their full pay before they act. However, my hero accepted only 50 percent of his payment. He chose to forgo the remaining amount to support us in completing the film. I told him, 'This is all I have; if you can let go, we can finish the film.' Without a moment's hesitation, he agreed, and selflessly completed those eight days of shooting and dubbing. He attended the audio launch without any expectations. I will forever be grateful to him."
