Bhubaneswar, July 10 (NationPress) Senior BJP leader from Odisha, Gopinath Sahu, has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of ITI Ltd, a leading Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications.
Founded in 1948 and based in Bengaluru, ITI Ltd is recognized as India’s oldest telecom manufacturing PSU, significantly contributing to the nation’s telecommunications and digital infrastructure.
Originating from Bhanjanagar, Sahu is acknowledged as a principal organizational strategist within the BJP in Odisha. Since 2018, he has taken the lead in the Communication and Data Division of the State BJP, playing a crucial role in managing elections for both the 2019 and 2024 General Elections.
Sahu is celebrated for his strategic management skills and unwavering commitment to ideological clarity, gaining the trust of both party leadership and grassroots workers.
A committed RSS member since 1991, Sahu dedicated his time as a full-time member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from 1994 to 2009. During this period, he assumed several key roles, including State Organising Secretary and a member of the ABVP central team.
From 2004 to 2008, he also served as an RSS pracharak, leading impactful student movements across Odisha and mentoring a generation of leaders who have now become MLAs, district presidents, and senior party officials.
Joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2018, Sahu brought with him years of organizational experience and ideological dedication. He holds a Master’s degree in Odia Language and Literature and an LLB from Utkal University.
From 2015 to 2022, he contributed as a Resource Person for Bharatavani, an initiative by the Ministry of Education. Additionally, he led Magnum Intergrafiks in Odisha from 2011 to 2015 and served as the State Coordinator for the National Yuva Cooperative Society (NYCS) from 2010 to 2011.
