Amaravati, June 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, along with Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, has expressed their gratitude towards the NDA administration at the Centre for pushing forward the establishment of the South Coast Railway Zone.
Both leaders utilized social media platforms to convey their appreciation to the Centre for appointing a General Manager for the South Coast Railway Zone, which is part of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone.
The Chief Minister specifically thanked President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and the entire Union Government for their role in promoting the vision for the Visakhapatnam South Coast Railway Zone.
He congratulated Sandeep Mathur on his new role as General Manager of South Coast Railway, Visakhapatnam, and wished him success during his tenure.
Pawan Kalyan also took to 'X' to acknowledge the NDA government's efforts in speeding up the development of the South Coast Railway Zone. He expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Modi and the Railways Minister.
The Jana Sena leader noted that the NDA Government's appointment of Sandeep Mathur marks a significant enhancement for the South Coast Railway Zone.
“This vital administrative appointment is expected to optimize the operations of the zone, fulfilling another promise made during the bifurcation of the state and addressing the longstanding hopes of the people of Andhra Pradesh,” the Jana Sena leader stated.

During the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh in 2014, the UPA government had pledged to establish a new railway zone with its headquarters in Visakhapatnam.
However, it was only in 2019 that the Central government announced the formation of the new zone and the Detailed Project Report was created.
The zone will include the Vijayawada, Guntur, and Guntakal divisions of the South Central Railway along with the Waltair division of the East Coast Railway.
In January this year, Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the construction of the South Coastal Railway Zonal Headquarters in Visakhapatnam, realizing the long-desired dream of the residents of the North Andhra region.
