Visakhapatnam, Sep 17 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, extended a warm invitation to Global Capability Centres (GCCs) to establish their operations within the state.
During the closing session of the GCC Business Summit organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry, he emphasized that Andhra Pradesh provides an exceptional eco-system backed by favorable industrial policies.
He highlighted Visakhapatnam as an ideal location for industrial advancement and promised comprehensive support to enterprises willing to set up in the coastal city.
Chandrababu Naidu expressed that the future belongs to GCCs and reassured investors that the Andhra Pradesh government is prepared to facilitate industrial progression through prompt decision-making.
He mentioned a recent survey indicating that Visakhapatnam is recognized as one of the safest cities for women. He encouraged each GCC to formalize an MoU with the state government, assuring them they would not regret their choice.
With a vast coastline stretching 1,000 km, Andhra Pradesh is poised to develop a port-led economy, he added.
He expressed optimism that Google would announce the establishment of a data center in Visakhapatnam next month.
The Chief Minister informed industry leaders that the state boasts excellent air, road, and rail connectivity. Infrastructure development is underway, including a greenfield airport in Amaravati, along with existing airports in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, and Kadapa. A bullet train connecting Hyderabad and Chennai is also in the pipeline.
Chandrababu Naidu stated that the government is prioritizing the creation of a Quantum Valley focused on artificial intelligence and a data lake, while also advancing green energy and hydrogen initiatives.
Currently, 720 government services are accessible via WhatsApp governance, and Rata Tata Innovation Hubs have been established at five locations throughout the state. He noted that the collaboration of policymakers, industry, and academia creates a robust eco-system for industrial establishment.
The Chief Minister proclaimed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and the transformative reforms by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, India is on the verge of becoming the third-largest economy globally.
