Amaravati, Oct 21 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, emphasized on Tuesday that the state administration will uphold its commitment to law and order, asserting that a stable social environment is essential for attracting investments.

He highlighted that societal unrest deters investment; entities looking to invest seek assurance for the security of their assets.

The Chief Minister made these remarks during the Police Commemoration Parade at Manglagiri, where he honored the sacrifice of police martyrs.

Naidu noted that Google has committed to establishing its data center in Visakhapatnam due to confidence in the safety of their investment, citing the tech giant's $15 billion investment as the largest Foreign Direct Investment in the region.

He commended the Andhra Pradesh police as a reputable force, stating they have effectively tackled issues like factionalism, Naxalism, and rowdyism.

Naidu stressed the importance of integrating technology in policing, such as CCTV cameras, drones, and data analytics, to keep pace with evolving criminal activities.

The government is enhancing the technical capabilities of law enforcement, utilizing drones for detecting and eradicating marijuana crops and combating smuggling activities.

He urged police to remain vigilant against attempts by certain individuals to incite social discord through religious and caste divisions.

Naidu remarked that some individuals exploit ideological narratives for dominance or monetary gain.

“We need to be proactive in combating crime; otherwise, the situation could worsen. I have always stood firm on law and order, which is why I faced attacks from Naxalites,” he stated.

Without specifying any political party, Naidu accused certain groups of committing offenses under the pretense of politics.

“They attempted to create division among religious communities following the incident involving Pastor Praveen. Our investigation, aided by CCTV footage, unveiled the truth,” he said.

The Chief Minister referenced the vandalism of a statue of Ambedkar in GD Nellore, where false accusations were directed at the government, but the administration countered the narrative with factual information.

He claimed that similar conspiracies are being orchestrated in connection with liquor issues. He identified social media as a significant challenge for law enforcement, noting that some users post inflammatory content and engage in personal attacks.

He called upon the police to take stringent action against individuals making inappropriate posts on social media, ensuring a safe environment for women.

During the ceremony, where he received a guard of honor, Naidu paid tribute to the fallen police officers.

“On this Police Commemoration Day, we celebrate the valor and unwavering dedication of our police personnel. We honor those who have sacrificed their lives for peace and justice. Their legacy serves as a guiding principle for all officers, reminding us that progress is impossible without security. Their bravery ensures the safety of our state and nation,” he stated.

State Home Minister V. Anitha announced the launch of the “Shakti App” and “Shakti Teams” aimed at enhancing the safety of women and girls. “We are fostering an environment in the state where the mere thought of committing harassment is daunting,” she affirmed.

To combat drug-related issues, the government has set up a dedicated unit named “Eagle” and is taking rigorous measures against drug trafficking.

She emphasized the success against Maoism as a testament to the government's determination. “I view this as a moral victory that the public stands united against Maoists,” she remarked.

Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta noted that law enforcement is fulfilling its duties with bravery and selfless dedication, addressing challenges such as cybercrime with resilience.
