After a meeting with officials at Vidhana Soudha, he stated that the committee had finalized its report on forming corporations under the GBA.
"I have instructed the committee chair to ensure that opposition leaders are briefed on the report. The new corporations will be established within the current boundaries of the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and may expand in the future. We need to discuss this in the Cabinet and aim to hold elections as soon as possible," he remarked.
Shivakumar confirmed that elections would be conducted for the existing BBMP wards this time around.
The Deputy Chief Minister also convened a meeting regarding the GBA at his office in Vidhana Soudha on Monday.

We are exploring options to advance the project without flooding any villages. Locals have proposed using a couple of tanks for water storage, which we will assess. We will ensure everyone is involved and will discuss it in the Cabinet meeting."
Regarding his upcoming visit to Delhi, Shivakumar noted, "I plan to meet the Union Jal Shakti Minister, who has allocated time to discuss forest land issues for the Yettinahole project in Hassan and Tumakuru districts."
When asked if he would consult the High Command during his Delhi trip, he replied, "The party office is sacred to us; I always make it a point to visit the party headquarters and offer our prayers."
