Gandhinagar, Jan 30 (NationPress) The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board (GPRB) officially commenced an extensive recruitment initiative on Saturday, targeting 13,591 positions within the Police Sub-Inspector and Lokrakshak Dal divisions. This drive emphasizes a strong commitment to technology-enhanced transparency and a rigorous 'zero-error' selection methodology, according to police representatives.

Over 1 million candidates are vying for these positions across 15 cities and various State Reserve Police training centers throughout the state.

Chairperson Neerja Gotru remarked that the recruitment framework has been meticulously crafted to uphold fairness, precision, and public confidence by leveraging advanced technology at every juncture.

"This recruitment initiative showcases a fusion of technology, transparency, and zero errors. Selections will be grounded solely on a candidate's merits and physical capabilities, thereby eliminating any chances of manipulation," Gotru stated.

Physical efficiency assessments for male candidates are scheduled at 11 venues until March 13, 2026, whereas tests for female candidates and ex-servicemen will take place at four venues until March 6, 2026.

All physical evaluations will be conducted under the vigilant oversight of qualified medical personnel from the State Health Department.

To ensure accurate timing during running tests, candidates will be equipped with RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chips in their footwear, which facilitates automatic and precise recording of run times down to the second.

Officials noted that this innovation effectively removes manual errors and potential disputes.

Moreover, the recruitment board has mandated biometric verification at every stage, utilizing both fingerprint and facial recognition technologies to thwart impersonation or misconduct.

All testing venues will be under continuous CCTV surveillance, monitored live by a central control room located in Gandhinagar.

Height and chest measurements will utilize digital measurement systems, with results displayed to candidates on computer screens for complete transparency.

For candidates who contest any aspect of the measurements or process, an on-site Appeal Board will be available at each location.

This Appeal Board will include a senior officer of Superintendent of Police (SP) rank, a medical officer, and other members.

Immediate re-verification will occur in the presence of senior officials to promptly address any grievances.

"Between January 22 and 29, a total of 187,874 candidates were invited for physical assessments. Out of these, 116,075 candidates participated, and 50,383 successfully qualified," officials revealed.

Results will be generated digitally and made accessible to candidates on-site.

Comprehensive measures have been established to ensure the safety and comfort of candidates, including drinking water, ORS packets, medical teams, and 108 ambulance services at all testing locations.

For security and oversight, each site is managed by an officer with the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) or SP, supported by over 90 police personnel.

Senior officers at the DIGP and Inspector General of Police (IGP) levels have been assigned supervisory roles to guarantee strict monitoring of the process.

Officials emphasized that the technology-driven recruitment model aims to bolster the confidence of aspirants, especially those from remote regions, ensuring that every candidate competes on an equal footing based exclusively on ability and performance.
