Gandhinagar, Dec 22 (NationPress) Gujarat's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is set to distribute appointment letters to 11,607 newly recruited candidates of the Gujarat Police during an elaborate ceremony on December 23 at the Ramkatha Ground, located in Sector 11, Gandhinagar.

The distribution event has been arranged by the Home Department of the Gujarat government, following the successful conclusion of the recruitment process for the Lokrakshak cadre. This initiative aims to bolster the state’s internal security and enhance its policing capabilities.

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi will attend the event, along with Minister of State for Police Housing Kamlesh Patel, who will serve as a special guest to inspire and motivate the newly appointed recruits.

Officials have reported that the recruitment drive targeted a total of 11,899 posts, with 8,782 male and 3,117 female candidates selected through a fair and merit-based process.

At this stage, appointment letters will be given to 11,607 candidates whose document verification has been successfully completed.

According to senior officials, this large-scale induction of recruits is a significant step towards enhancing police visibility, optimizing response strategies, and strengthening public safety throughout the state.

The newly appointed Lokrakshaks are poised to play a crucial role in maintaining law and order while ensuring citizen-centered policing.

Emphasizing the state government’s ongoing commitment to job creation and reinforcing public institutions, officials noted that even as this recruitment process wraps up, the government has promptly issued a new advertisement for 13,591 additional vacancies in the police force.

This new recruitment initiative is currently in progress, reflecting the government's dedication to providing timely, transparent, and large-scale employment opportunities for the youth of Gujarat.

The ceremony will also feature various senior dignitaries, including Chief Secretary M.K. Das, Director General of Police Vikas Sahay, and Chairperson of the Police Recruitment Board Neerja Gotru, along with other high-ranking officers and officials from the Home Department.

Officials indicated that this ceremony will not only mark the formal induction of new personnel but will also serve as a moment of pride and motivation for countless families, as young recruits officially embark on their journey of service to the state and its citizens.
