Patna, Nov 1 (NationPress) The nine-day Guru Charan Yatra culminated in Patna Sahib, Bihar on Saturday after traversing through Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri actively participated in the rituals associated with carrying the holy relics during the final segment of the journey.
The revered Jore Sahib of Dasam Pita Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and Khalsa Mata Sahib Kaur Ji were welcomed with great enthusiasm, highlighted by a march and religious procession led by the Panj Pyaras, who exemplify dedication, equality, and sacrifice.
Puri adorned the Panj Pyaras with garlands and, alongside his family, engaged in the Guru Charan Yatra.
The Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas shared his experience on X, stating, “I joined the Sangat in welcoming the holy Guru Charan Yatra carrying the holy Jore Sahib ‘Charan Suhawa’ of Dasam Pita Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj and Khalsa Mata Sahib Kaur Ji at Gurdwara Guru Ka Bagh Sahib in Patna Sahib.”
In a display of spirituality, unity, and reverence, Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan and other dignitaries addressed the sizeable audience, which also featured notable religious leaders from various faiths.
The former diplomat expressed on X, “A deeply emotional moment for my family as we unite with the Sikh Sangat to receive and serve the sacred Jore Sahib at the Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib, the holy site of our Guru Sahib’s birth.”
Reflecting on his family’s connection with the relics, Puri mentioned, “Our ancestors, who served the Guru Maharaj, were granted the holy Jore Sahib ‘Charan Suhawa’ over 300 years ago.”
“On October 22 in Delhi, we entrusted the sacred relics to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and the Management Committee of Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib. The relics were brought to Patna Sahib today after an uplifting nine-day Holy Guru Charan Yatra through Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar,” the minister added.
