Chandigarh, April 5 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, introduced an impressive array of development initiatives worth Rs 253 crore during a 'Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally' held in Jind, marking a significant advancement in the district's infrastructure and public services.
The Chief Minister commenced work on 12 projects totaling Rs 140.87 crore and officially launched three projects that collectively cost Rs 112 crore. A notable inauguration includes the revamping of Jind Distributary No. 4, executed by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department at an expenditure of Rs 16 crore, according to an official announcement.
Additionally, modern micro-irrigation systems have been launched at the village level alongside solar-powered irrigation setups, and a balancing reservoir for water storage has been established in Intal Khurd village.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Library building at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, which was built at a cost of Rs 56 crore.
In a bid to further enhance infrastructure, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for projects covering agriculture marketing, housing, roads, health, drainage, and water supply, including a procurement center in Manoharpur village initiated by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board.
Other significant projects include the widening and fortification of the Nirjan approach road and the Kandela route via Safidon, which encompasses Haibatpur, Khokhri, Bohatwala, and Dalamwala villages, with a total budget of Rs 4 crore.
Under the CRIF scheme, foundation stones were laid for the four-laning and strengthening of the Panipat-Safidon (State Highway 11) and Safidon-Jind (State Highway 14) corridors, entailing an investment of Rs 56 crore.
Moreover, the Chief Minister initiated the construction of an Integrated Sainik Sadan by the District Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department costing Rs 9 crore. For health services, a new community health center will be established in Kandela village at a cost of Rs 9 crore.
To enhance drainage systems, the Manoharpur drain excavation project is underway by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department, with a budget of Rs 1 crore.
Additionally, the Chief Minister laid the groundwork for Public Health Engineering Department projects worth Rs 35 crore.
