Chandigarh, April 5 (NationPress) Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini launched a series of development initiatives worth Rs 253 crore during the ‘Dhanyawad Evam Vikas Rally’ held in Jind, marking a significant advancement in the district's infrastructure and public amenities.
The Chief Minister initiated the groundwork for 12 projects totaling Rs 140.87 crore and inaugurated three projects amounting to Rs 112 crore. Notable among these inaugurations is the renovation of Jind Distributary No. 4, executed by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department at a cost of Rs 16 crore, according to an official announcement.
Additionally, the rally featured the unveiling of advanced micro-irrigation systems at the village level, solar-powered irrigation setups, and a water storage balancing reservoir in Intal Khurd village.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Library building at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University, constructed at a cost of Rs 56 crore.
In a bid to enhance infrastructure, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for various projects related to agriculture marketing, housing, road construction, healthcare, drainage, and water supply, including a procurement center in Manoharpur village, facilitated by the Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board.
Further, the Chief Minister laid the groundwork for the widening and fortification of the Nirjan approach road and Kandela route via Safidon, impacting the villages of Haibatpur, Khokhri, Bohatwala, and Dalamwala, with an investment of Rs 4 crore.
Under the CRIF scheme, foundation stones were laid for the four-laning, widening, and strengthening of the Panipat-Safidon (state highway number 11) and Safidon-Jind (state highway 14) corridors, involving an expenditure of Rs 56 crore.
Moreover, the Chief Minister commenced the construction of an Integrated Sainik Sadan by the District Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare Department at a cost of Rs 9 crore. In terms of healthcare advancements, a community health center will be established in Kandela village for Rs 9 crore.
To enhance drainage systems, the Manoharpur drain excavation project has also been initiated by the Irrigation and Water Resources Department at a budget of Rs 1 crore.
The Chief Minister has also laid the foundation for Public Health Engineering Department projects totaling Rs 35 crore.
