Chandigarh, Dec 10 (NationPress) The Haryana government has announced changes to the Deployment of Contractual Persons Policy of 2022, ensuring compassionate placement for the families of individuals from the state who lost their lives during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
The notification was issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi.
As per the revised guidelines, irrespective of the current definition of "family" in applicable government regulations, one recognized family member of a person deceased in the 1984 riots, regardless of whether the incident occurred within Haryana or elsewhere, will qualify for employment via the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam Limited (HKRNL).
Deployments will be made for appropriate positions categorized under Level-I, Level-II, or Level-III, strictly aligning with the educational qualifications and eligibility criteria set by HKRNL, as stated in an official announcement on Wednesday.
Furthermore, the notification clarifies that if the job position within the department of a deployed contractual employee becomes occupied in the future, the employee will be eligible for reassignment to another department where similar job roles are required.
HKRNL will facilitate this reassignment in coordination with the relevant departments. Should there be no demand for similar roles, HKRNL will place the employee within its own facilities against a suitable position.
This amendment partially modifies previous notifications dated June 30, 2022, October 26, 2023, and May 13, 2025, with the intent to enhance the compassionate framework of the policy.
All Administrative Secretaries, heads of departments, Managing Directors, Chief Administrators, CEOs of Boards, Corporations, Public Undertakings, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil), universities, and other relevant authorities have been instructed to take appropriate measures and ensure strict adherence to the revised policy.
