A police spokesperson stated that the incident unfolded at Charilam on National Highway-8 in Sepahijala district late Saturday night when two high-speed motorcycles collided head-on. Each motorcycle was carrying two riders.
According to local witnesses, the collision's impact was so intense that the loud crash sent residents rushing out of their homes.
Upon arrival, they discovered two twisted motorcycles on the road and the remains of three young individuals, including a tribal girl, scattered nearby. Residents quickly notified the fire services in Bishramganj and Bishalgarh.
Firefighters from Bishalgarh promptly responded to the scene, transporting the injured and the deceased to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital. One injured individual was taken to the hospital by local residents in a private vehicle. A police team, led by Sub-Inspector Rammohan Debbarma of Bishalgarh Police Station, arrived shortly after the incident.
