Islamabad, Oct 2 (NationPress) The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) of Pakistan's Punjab province has issued a rain warning for various districts, indicating that heavy showers may lead to flooding in streams and nullahs, according to local media.
A spokesperson from PDMA stated that westerly winds moving into northern Punjab are predicted to bring extensive rainfall throughout the province starting Thursday night and lasting until October 7.
As per the latest data from the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), the tragic toll has reached at least 1,006 lives lost in Pakistan since late June, which includes 275 children, 568 men, and 163 women, as relentless rains and flash floods continue to devastate the nation.
