Jaipur, June 19 (NationPress) Heavy rainfall has inundated the streets of Jaipur, causing severe traffic disruptions in various locations across Rajasthan on Thursday.
On Thursday, multiple districts, such as Jaipur, Kota, Banswara, Jalore, Bundi, Jhalawar, Tonk, Bhilwara, and Pali, experienced substantial downpours. Flooding was reported at the government hospital in Bundi and the Shahpura police post in Bhilwara.
In Banswara, a driver and his tractor were swept away by a river, prompting ongoing search operations at the time of reporting. Jhalawar faced its first major monsoon rain at 11 am, leading to waterlogged roads.
The Jalore district experienced sporadic heavy rain, recording an average of 6.7 mm of rainfall over the previous 24 hours.
Phulera, located in Jaipur, received a remarkable 113 mm (over 4 inches) of rain in the last day. Other regions, including Pratapgarh, Bundi, and Bhilwara, saw between 2 to 4 inches of precipitation. These intense rainfalls resulted in the overflow of rain drains and rivers throughout these areas.
