Mumbai, May 11 (NationPress) Actress Hina Khan shared a heartwarming moment with her mother on social media this Mother's Day.
The star of 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' posted a touching video on her Instagram account, showcasing the beautiful bond she shares with her mother.
The video begins with Hina gifting her mother a stunning white flower, followed by a warm hug as she rests her head on her mother's lap. Hina expressed her affection through gentle kisses on her hands, playful pinches to her cheeks, and a sweet kiss on her forehead.
She revealed that this clip was filmed during Ramadan, a time when her mother was deep in prayer for Hina's health and happiness.
"This was captured by my brother during Ramadan. It’s just one moment of many such times when she prays for me in namaz, each day. In every prayer, she cries and wishes for my well-being and health. She may overlook everything else, but she never misses this, no matter the circumstances. That’s a mother’s love. There’s nothing quite like it. There’s no one comparable to her. A mother is the greatest shield in a child’s life and a true blessing. May Allah grant her all her prayers (Ameen). Happy Mother’s Day, Maa," Hina captioned the post.
For those unaware, Hina has been bravely battling stage 3 breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.
In a different light, Hina expressed her frustrations over receiving negativity for supporting her nation amid the ongoing India-Pakistan tensions. Despite facing backlash, she affirmed her commitment to stand by her country.
She stated on her Instagram stories, "Throughout my life, I have only experienced warmth from across the border. After supporting my nation during and post Operation Sindoor, I faced abuse, curses, and many unfollowed me. Some even threatened to unfollow me (sic)."
"This threat often comes with offensive and derogatory comments directed not just at me but also concerning my health, family, and faith. I don’t expect you to stand by my country; supporting yours is acceptable. I just hoped you would behave with humanity as I have towards you all (sic)," she added.
