The previous seasons chronicled Huma Qureshi’s evolution from being an unexpected political outsider to a clever leader navigating through Bihar’s challenging political landscape. The forthcoming season is expected to blend political realism with captivating drama.
The initial part of this political series draws inspiration from events in Bihar during the 1990s, particularly when Lalu Prasad Yadav designated his homemaker wife Rabri Devi as his successor. Season 1 spans from 1995 to 1999, taking cues from real-life incidents and figures such as Ranvir Sena, left-wing militants, Naxalite groups, the Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation, the 1997 Laxmanpur Bathe massacre, and the Fodder Scam.
Season 2, set in mid-1999, also reflects real-life events and individuals including the Shilpi-Gautam Murder, Sadhu Yadav, Rajiv Goswami, Shibu Soren, Mohammad Shahabuddin, Prashant Kishor, the Indian Political Action Committee, and the 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly election.
The third season further delves into significant real-life incidents, including the Jitan Manjhi saga.
