During her stay in Patna, she expressed her feelings about portraying Rani Bharti, the fictional Chief Minister of Bihar. She shared with IANS, “Rani Bharti is back. After a long absence, coming back to Bihar as Rani has made this trip incredibly meaningful. Rani has intertwined with my life in such a way that experiencing her story in her homeland was surreal.”
She added, “Visiting the Bihar Assembly, engaging with students at Patna Women’s College, and savoring the local cuisine felt like a true homecoming. Dressed as Rani, I could feel the profound connection and affection the people have for her. I am truly thankful.”
'Maharani' tells the story of Rani Bharti (played by Huma Qureshi), a housewife with little political experience, who unexpectedly becomes the Chief Minister of Bihar after her husband, CM Bheema Bharti, becomes a victim of an assassination attempt. Season 4, debuting on November 7, 2025, ventures into the realm of national politics, introducing Rani to formidable adversaries beyond her state.
