New Delhi, May 21 (NationPress) Mission Karmayogi, the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building, has reached a significant milestone as the iGOT Karmayogi portal surpasses one crore registered civil servants throughout India, announced Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, on Wednesday.
The Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) Karmayogi platform serves as a digital learning resource managed by Karmayogi Bharathas, designed to provide a thorough learning ecosystem accessible to civil servants nationwide.
Initiated in 2022, the iGOT platform has seen a remarkable 30-fold increase from 3 lakh users registered until January 2023, within just over two years.
“This swift expansion emphasizes the increasing digital engagement within public administration and underscores the Centre’s dedication to creating a future-oriented and citizen-focused civil service,” Singh stated.
The Minister attributed the portal’s success to the enthusiastic involvement of both central and state/UT civil servants.
States such as Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh have recorded a notably higher number of registered civil servants on the platform.
Over 60% of the registered users on the iGOT Karmayogi platform hail from all 36 States/UTs, while the rest come from central government ministries, departments, and organizations.
“This illustrates the pan-India reach of the platform and its growing integration with state-level governance frameworks,” Singh remarked.
“As of now, more than 3.1 crore learning certificates have been granted to civil servants upon course completion, amounting to over 3.8 crore learning hours,” Singh added.
Currently, the iGOT Karmayogi platform features over 2,400 courses in 16 languages, contributed by more than 200 course providers including Central and State Government Ministries and Departments, Civil Services Training Institutes (CSTIs), Civil Society Organizations, philanthropic entities, leading Indian academic institutions, and industry experts.
All courses align with the homegrown Karmayogi Competency Model (KCM) — rooted in Indic wisdom and the principles of Mission Karmayogi.
Singh emphasized that the Karmayogi platform aims “to enhance the number of courses available in regional languages, elevate course quality, collaborate with additional content providers, and enhance user experience through AI and other technologies” in the near future.
