This announcement was made by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) on Thursday, detailing the home fixtures for the summer of 2026.
The men's tour will commence on July 1, featuring five T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals in 2026. Meanwhile, the women’s team will participate in three T20Is starting from May 28.
The men's squad will commence their summer with a series of three Tests against New Zealand from June 4-25, followed by their matches against India (July 1-19). Subsequently, they will host Pakistan for three Tests from August 19 to September 9, and Sri Lanka for another three T20Is and three ODIs from September 15-27.
“I’m confident that fans will be eager to witness the exciting performances from Ben Stokes and Harry Brook's England teams. Both the men's red-ball and white-ball sides promise to deliver captivating entertainment. It’s wonderful to see a variety of nations coming to compete, and we can anticipate another summer filled with large crowds and exceptional cricket,” stated ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould.
The summer of 2026 will also see England Women hosting the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup from June 12 to July 15, shining a significant light on women’s cricket.
In conjunction with the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, captain Nat Sciver-Brunt will lead England Women through a busy home schedule that includes matches against New Zealand, India, and Ireland, highlighted by a Test match at Lord’s.
England Women will face New Zealand in three ODIs and an equal number of T20Is from May 10 to 25. They will also confront India in three T20Is from May 28 to July 10, just before the home T20 World Cup.
After the World Cup concludes on July 5 at Lord's, a historic one-off Test against India is scheduled for July 10 at the same venue. Additionally, the women’s team will engage in three ODIs against Ireland from September 1-6.
“The highlight of the summer will undoubtedly be the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, taking place in England for the first time since 2009. This is a momentous occasion for women’s cricket, for Nat Sciver-Brunt and her team, and an incredible opportunity to inspire future generations of players and fans,” Gould remarked.
“Moreover, we’re thrilled that Lord's will also host an England Women's Test match for the first time, marking a truly special period for the women’s game,” Gould added.
The ECB also mentioned that details regarding international disability fixtures will be revealed soon, as the England men’s mixed disability team has recently trialled mixed disability cricket at the international level.
