Amman, Dec 15 (NationPress) Celebrating Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a remarkable leader and an incredible, selfless individual dedicated to his nation, members of the Indian community in Jordan expressed their enthusiasm as they greeted the Indian PM in Amman.
Sanal Kumar, part of the Indian diaspora committee, shared with IANS: "Having spent 25 years in this country working in the textile business, I take great pride in knowing that Indians represent 50% of Jordan's textile industry. Our billion-dollar company generates 35,000 jobs here, including 7,000 for Jordanians and 6,000 for fellow Indians. The support from this country has enabled us to thrive."
He praised Modi, stating, "He is a distinctive figure. Words fall short to describe him. Travel anywhere globally, and when you mention you are from India, PM Modi's name is recognized. He is an extraordinary man, wholly devoted to the nation's progress."
Earlier that day, PM Modi commenced a visit to Jordan, Ethiopia, and Oman, engaging in high-level discussions aimed at strengthening strategic partnerships. His visit to Jordan, at the invitation of King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, marks 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
A member of the Indian diaspora remarked, "It’s wonderful to see him further fortifying the ties between Jordan and India, which benefits all of us residing here. He is a phenomenal leader, and we feel immense pride. We are thrilled to see him."
Another diaspora member referred to PM Modi as one of the "most significant and robust leaders" globally today.
Uma, another representative of the Indian community, expressed, "We are eager to welcome Modiji to Jordan; we can hardly wait to see him. I have lived here for the past eight years, feeling incredibly fortunate for this opportunity to meet PM Modi."
Venkat echoed similar sentiments, saying, "Having resided here for the last eight years, we are all brimming with excitement to meet our Honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi ji. Last time he visited, we missed the chance to meet him. He embodies our nation's pride, and we cannot contain our excitement."
Saurav Choudhary, another member of the Indian diaspora, noted, "It is a tremendous privilege to meet PM Modi as he continues to elevate India's stature on the world stage."

In his departure remarks, PM Modi stated, "During my visit, I will engage in comprehensive discussions with His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, H.E. Mr. Jafar Hassan, Prime Minister of Jordan, and I am looking forward to meetings with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II."
In Amman, PM Modi will interact with the Indian community, which he noted has made "a significant contribution" to India–Jordan relations.
