New Delhi, Oct 8 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Wednesday that India’s Made-in-India 4G stack is primed for export, underscoring the nation's increasing footprint in global technology sectors.
During the opening session of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, PM Modi emphasized that this advancement showcases the strength of the Aatmanirbhar Bharat vision and marks significant progress in the telecom industry over the last decade.
The Prime Minister pointed out that 5G connectivity now reaches nearly every district, a remarkable transformation from the era when India faced challenges with 2G networks.
“Our nation has made tremendous strides. Today, we enjoy 5G access in every locality,” said PM Modi, highlighting how modern infrastructure supports India's digital evolution.
PM Modi noted that the establishment of one lakh towers has drawn international attention, illustrating India’s prowess in constructing extensive telecom infrastructure.
“The new 4G stack is set to offer enhanced internet speeds, more dependable services, and uninterrupted connectivity, thereby further bolstering India’s technological advantage,” PM Modi stated.
He also acknowledged India’s significant progress in electronics and mobile manufacturing, reporting a sixfold increase in production since 2014, while mobile manufacturing has surged by 28 times, and exports have skyrocketed by 127 times.
The Prime Minister emphasized the vital role of startups and innovation in this success.
“Initiatives like ‘Digital Innovation Square’ and the ‘Telecom Technology Development Fund’ provide essential funding and support for nurturing new concepts,” stated the Prime Minister.
“The India Mobile Congress has evolved into the largest digital technology forum in Asia, showcasing the nation’s talents and innovations on a global platform,” PM Modi remarked.
Reflecting on India’s digital transformation, PM Modi stressed the necessity of a modern legal framework to facilitate swift technological advancements, ensuring that the nation’s digital future remains secure.
The Prime Minister attributed this success to the tax-saving mindset of Indians and the vigor of Indian youth, which has propelled the country to the forefront of global telecom and digital innovation.
