The Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for numerous development initiatives totaling approximately Rs. 13,430 crore, which he claimed would enhance connectivity in Andhra Pradesh, spur industrial growth, and improve quality of life.
He emphasized that the government is dedicated to elevating connectivity. A multi-modal infrastructure is in development to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat.
He highlighted that Andhra Pradesh is a region of pride, rich culture, and a hub for science and innovation, with vast potential and a talented youth demographic.
According to him, Andhra Pradesh is in need of visionary leadership, which it has in Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, both of whom are committed to progress and have the support from the Centre.
“Delhi and Amaravati are collaborating effectively, advancing swiftly towards development,” he noted.
Reflecting on the past 16 months, he remarked on the rapid growth achieved in Andhra Pradesh, asserting that a double-engine government is propelling the state forward.
“As Chandrababu mentioned, based on this momentum, I can predict that by 2047, marking a century of independence, India will be fully developed,” he added.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the vision of Swarnandhra is motivating the concept of Viksit Bharat, stating that the world is observing the pace and potential of both India and Andhra Pradesh.
“Recently, Google announced a significant investment in Andhra Pradesh, planning to establish India's first artificial intelligence hub here. In a conversation with Google’s CEO, he indicated that while we invest globally, our largest investment will be in Andhra Pradesh,” he explained.
“This new AI hub will encompass advanced AI infrastructure, enhanced data center capabilities, extensive energy resources, and a broadened fiber-optic network. An international subsea gateway will be established, incorporating several international subsea cables that will connect to Visakhapatnam on India's eastern seaboard. This initiative will position Visakhapatnam as an AI and connectivity center, benefiting India and the global community. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the people of Andhra Pradesh and commend Chandrababu Naidu for his foresight,” he remarked.
After offering prayers at the Srisailam temple, PM Modi mentioned that among the 12 Jyotirlingas, Lord Somnath and Lord Mallikarjuna are often referenced together. “I feel fortunate to hail from Gujarat, the land of Dada Somnath, and to have served Kashi, the sacred ground of Baba Vishwanath, while today I am blessed at Srisailam,” he expressed.
He recounted his visit to the Shivaji Inspiration Centre and paid his respects, saying, “From the core of my being, I honor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.”
