INSV Kaundinya is a traditional sailing vessel inspired by ancient Indian ship designs observed on historical seals and artifacts. This ship symbolizes India’s extensive maritime tradition and its historical connections with seafaring trade routes across the Indian Ocean.
The vessel's expeditions aim to provide navigation training while also highlighting India’s civilizational ties to the seas, including maritime trade and cultural exchange.
