Jaipur, Jan 21 (NationPress) The 18th iteration of the Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF) is set to take place from January 30 to February 3 at Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur, featuring a carefully curated program that celebrates literature, culture, and global dialogue.

During a press conference, Teamwork Arts, the Festival’s producer, revealed the highlights for this year’s gathering. A standout feature is the Kanhaiya Lal Sethia Award for poetry, which will recognize esteemed Hindi poet Badri Narayan for his remarkable contributions to literature.

A recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award in 2022 for his collection Tumdi ke Shabd, Badri Narayan is celebrated for his impactful poetry that intertwines folk imagery with deep sociological insights.

The Festival will address urgent global narratives, hosting sessions on geopolitics, war, climate change, and the arts, in addition to discussions on music, cinema, sports, and more.

Over 600 speakers will participate, including Nobel laureates, Booker Prize winners, and leading figures from various fields. The event emphasizes inclusivity, with Sign Language Interpretation Sessions provided in collaboration with Nupur Sansthan.

Moreover, the Jaipur BookMark (JBM), which is South Asia’s premier publishing conclave, enters its 12th edition, focusing on translation, innovation in storytelling, and the impact of AI in publishing.

This year’s roster of speakers includes Abhijit Banerjee, Esther Duflo, Anita Anand, Geetanjali Shree, Kailash Satyarthi, Miriam Margolyes, Javed Akhtar, Sunil Amrith, and many others.

The festival remains a vibrant exchange of ideas, showcasing renowned writers, thinkers, and cultural figures from around the world.

Festival Co-Director and historian William Dalrymple stated, “The Jaipur Literature Festival serves as a global platform where the most influential voices converge to inspire and share ideas. It connects cultural and intellectual divides, promoting collaboration in an increasingly interconnected yet divided world.”
